Salman Khan Biography
Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, born on 27 December 1965, is an Indian film actor who appears in Bollywood films.

Salman was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, into a family with strong ties to the film industry. His father Salim Khan is a successful screenplay writer. One of Salim Khan’s wives (he has two) is the famous dancer Helen. Salman’s brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan are also actors, if not as successful as Salman. Salman has has two younger sisters, one married to actor Atul Agnihotri.

Salman has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. He was charged with hunting the endangered Blackbucks. He was arrested for drunk driving and vehicular homicide. He lost control of his car and killed three people who had been sleeping on a Mumbai sidewalk. The media had a field day with his romantic misadventures (a rocky romance with actress Aishwarya Rai, now ended) and his brawls.

Despite being considered as Bollywood’s “badboy”, many people swear by his friendship and benevolent nature. He is always involved in charitable causes and is said to be a frequent visitor to old-age homes and cancer hospitals. He is also very strongly devoted to his friends and family.

None of Salman’s latest films has been as successful as his earlier hits, but he is still considered one of the top actors in Bollywood. People still say that the industry is ruled by the so-called “three Khans” (Shahrukh Khan , Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan).

He always appears in films wearing a bracelet with a turquoise stone; his father wears a similar “lucky” bracelet. He frequently appears in films sans shirt — he is a dedicated bodybuilder and directors rarely miss a chance to show off the results.
